Investment Committee Members

Investment Committee Members (from left to right): David Giocomo,  Rich Rust, Sandi Johnson, Marc Gitlitz, Mitch Powers, Michael Dibala, Don Beckwith.

Michael Dibala is one of the founding partners of ISG and has over 28 years of direct experience in financial planning and investment management. Mike graduated from Bucknell University and has been a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) since 1987.

Mike has seen both "bull" and "bear" markets, so he knows the value of keeping a cool head. He contends: "In today’s media saturated world, it’s easy to get distracted, but if you have a clear understanding of what you’re trying to accomplish and the willingness to think realistically (plus some patience), you can be successful."

Mike and his two sons enjoy a variety of outdoor activities from tennis and biking in Denver or hiking and skiing in the Rockies, to relaxing and scuba diving in the Caribbean.

Dave Giocomo has over 25 years experience working with affluent individuals and small business owners on their estate, investment and charitable planning.

Dave excels at assisting people to articulate their financial and personal goals and seeing that the job is completed. Dave recognizes that with thoughtful goal setting, plan implementation and monitoring progress, clients gain a sense of direction and confidence.

Dave earned his Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designations from The American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania and his M.Ed. from Colorado State University.

Dave has a passion for charity, which extends to the Make-A-Wish Foundation where he served on the Board of Directors for 8 years and continues to serve as a wish grantor for children with life threatening illnesses. He is an avid exerciser enjoying biking, hiking and golf. Dave and his wife Beth have two daughters and have enjoyed living in Colorado for over 40 years.

Don Beckwith says that it was his desire to work closely with people, to "look them in the eye," that brought him to the investment management business. He knows that the markets can be confusing and scary. He also knows that they can be mastered, and he gets his kicks from helping his clients do this.

Don is very well equipped to help his clients in their quest for investment success. Building on an MBA from Harvard Business School, he has over 25 years of experience in upper level executive positions where he was a specialist in mergers and acquisitions and in the evaluation of investment opportunities.

Along the way, though, Don recognized that it was the role of mentor to individuals that he found the most rewarding ... and at ISG he has found his true niche in working directly with clients, understanding their needs and helping them overcome their fears ... doing all the things that are necessary to develop an investment plan that actually works.

Don grew up in Idaho, but has lived in Colorado most of his adult life. He and his family spend time in the mountains back-packing, cross-country skiing and generally enjoying all that Colorado has to offer.
